Course Eligibility

01 Nationality:

(i) a citizen of India
(ii) a subject of Nepal
(iii) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and EastAfrican nations including Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam to settle permanently in India.

As long as a candidate falls under categories (ii) and (iii) above, they must be people.

Note –The requirement for an eligibility certificate will not apply to applicants who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.

02 Age Limits, Sex, and Marital Status:

Age limit – 16.5 – 19.5yrs
Sex – Male/Female
Marital Status – Unmarried

03 Educational Qualifications:

(i) For Army Wing of NDA:For the NDA’s Army Wing, you must have completed your 12th grade under the 10+2 schooling pattern or have passed a test of equal difficulty administered by a state education board or university.

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: Pass the 12th grade with math, physics, and chemistry using the 10+2 schooling schedule, or the equivalent exam taken at a state education board or university.

SCHEME OF NDA EXAMINATION

Note – The subjects’ papers will only consist of objective-type questions. the question papers(test booklets) of mathematics and part “b” of the general ability testwill be set bilingually in Hindi aswell as English.
